 Starting November 16th, Jet2 will add a 3 weekly Vienna flight. Jet2 has run this as a short series flight in the past:

 LS959 MAN 1400 VIE 1730 Mon/Fri
LS959 MAN 1510 VIE 1840 Wed

 LS960 VIE 1805 MAN 1935 Fri
LS960 VIE 1815 MAN 1945 Mon
LS960 VIE 1925 MAN 2055 Wed

 B737-800 and B757-200 used.

 Austrian Airlines And Easyjet currently serve this route pair year round.

Singapore Airlines, why are they restarting Manchester so soon? It came as quite a surprise to many yesterday to hear that Singapore Airlines are resuming their Manchester service from the middle of July.  I saw quite a few comments and received a few messages expressing this surprise, so, what has made SQ resume so soon? History: Singapore Airlines has served Manchester for over 35 years. In that 35 years, Manchester has seen various alterations to the route. From A310s via Bangkok and Rome, B747s via Zurich, B772’s direct, a B77W via Munich and most recently, and still technically currently, an A350 that continues on to Houston, Texas.  Manchester has also played host to the airlines A380, but only on divert from London Heathrow.  Manchester came online for Singapore Airlines after a lengthy battle for the bilateral rights, after London and Prestwick were the only 2 points that were allowed to be served. What does the future hold for the London Air market. London has always been a constrained market, yet fragmented by the fact it has 6 ‘major’ entry points. Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Luton, City And Southend have all been vying for their share of the lucrative market. But is all this about to change? As well know, covid has turned the aviation industry into a spin, and London has been no exception.
