Zimex Aviation add Toulouse freight flights. Subject to a ‘no deal brexit’, Zimex Aviation intend to run a twice daily Toulouse-Manchester freight flight for the month of April: XM502 TLS 0950 MAN 1100 XM504 TLS 1950 MAN 2100 XM503 MAN 1300 TLS 1600 XM505 MAN 0300 TLS 0600 ATR72F operates. Please note that if a deal on Brexit is made to the point no border disruption is expected, or Brexit is delayed, then these flights will not operate.

Ryanair to add Milan Malpensa Starting October 27th, Ryanair will add a 5 weekly Milan Malpensa flight: FR6824 MAN 0645 MXP 1005 FR6825 MXP 1030 MAN 1135 B737-800 used Mon, Thu, Fri, Sat and Sun. Bergamo William continue to be served 10 times a week, which means Ryanair will serve Manchester-Milan 3 times a day on Fri, Sat and Sun.

United aircraft changes at Manchester. From 30th March 2019, United will end B757 operations from Manchester, by switching to larger B767 operations. March-May will see B767-300 operating. Then June-October will see B767-400 operations, before switching back to B767-300 for the winter. This represents a significant capacity increase compared to the B757, especially in the premium cabins.

Loganair to add Derry/Londonderry flights from May 2019 . Starting May 2019, Logan will add flights to Derry from Manchester. This is in place of the bmi flights that were expected to be launched, unfortunately the airline subsequently ended operations before their flight was announced. LM586 LDY 1400 MAN 1510 LM587 MAN 1540 LDY 1650 Flights will operate 6 weekly (excluding Sat) on Embraer aircraft.

Aeronexus to operate Shanghai/Tokyo charter During July, Aeronexus will operate a sports charter from Manchester to Shanghai, and back from Tokyo. ARN329 MAN 1300 PVG 0735+1 14/7/2019 ARN379 HND 2200 MAN 0220+1 28/7/2019 B767 operates.

Lufthansa Cargo resumes Manchester Starting April 1st 2019, Lufthansa Cargo will return to Manchester. Initially, flights will run as scheduled below, but after April, it’s expected flights will run as a tag from a US city to Frankfurt, as the previous operation used to run. TUI increases Puerto Vallarta from Manchester Starting November 2019, TUI will increase Manchester-Puerto Valllarta from 1 to 2 weekly: TOM186 MAN 0810 PVR 1355 Wednesdays TOM126 MAN 0945 PVR 1530 Saturday’s  TOM187 PVR 1555 MAN 0755+1 Wednesday’s  TOM127 PVR 1730 MAN 0930+1 Saturday’s Flights use B787-8 or B787-9 equipment.

Jet2 new routes for Summer 2019. For summer 2019, Jet2 will introduce 4 new routes to Manchester. These were announced in 2018 however being added to this blog to document all new routes for the airport. The new routes are: Bourgas, 4 weekly on Mon, Tue, Thu and sat. Chania, 2 weekly on Tuesday and Fridays. La Rochelle, 1 weekly on Saturdays. Izmir, 2 weekly on Wednesday’s and Saturdays. These routes will use either B737-800 or B757-200 equipment.

EL AL starts Manchester-Tel Aviv. S tarting May 26th, EL AL will start a 3 weekly Tel Aviv to Manchester service, using B737-800. LY301 TLV 0830 MAN 1210 LY302 MAN 1330 TLV 2045 Operates Tue, Thu and Sun. From October 2019, the flight will be 2 weekly with no Tue flight. Easyjet also serves this route on a 2 weekly basis.

Vueling to operate Paris charters As part of the Champions league airlift, Vueling will operate a series of charters from Paris CDG to Manchester: VY8840 CDG 1125 MAN 1150 12/2/19 VY8840 CDG 0710 MAN 0735 13/2/19 VY8840 CDG 1255 MAN 1320 6/3/19 VY8840 CDG 0635 MAN 0700 7/3/19 VY8841 MAN 1230 CDG 1450 12/2/19 VY8841 MAN 0815 CDG 1035 13/2/19 VY8841 MAN 1400 CDG 1620 6/3/19 VY8841 MAN 0740 CDG 1000 7/3/19 A320 operates. 

Easyjet Manchester frequency adjustments summer 2019. With the addition of 3 more based aircraft, many routes see increases for the summer period. Changes take place mostly in July and August. New routes will be announced in the next 2 weeks. Easyjet increase Gibraltar flights Starting August 2019, Easyjet will add a 4th weekly flight to Gibraltar on Monday’s: EZY1963 MAN 0620 GIB 1025 Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun EZY1964 GIB 1100 MAN 1305 Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun A319/A320 operates.

Lufthansa add 4th daily Munich  Starting June 1st, Lufthansa will add a 4th flight Monday’s to Friday’s on its Munich-Manchester route: LH2500 MUC 0900 MAN 1005 Daily LH2506 MUC 1105 MAN 1210 Mon-Fri *new* LH2502 MUC 1610 MAN 1715 Daily LH2504 MUC 2145 MAN 2250 Daily ex Sat LH2505 MAN 0705 MUC 1005 Daily ex Sun LH2501 MAN 1050 MUC 1350 Daily LH2507 MAN 1255 MUC 1555 Mon-Fri *new* LH2503 MAN 1800 MUC 2100 Daily A319 operates the new flights. Existing flights continues on mix of A320/321. Lufthansa will also continue to serve Frankfurt 5 times a day.

British Airways increases Malaga flights From June 2019, British Airways increases its Manchester-Malaga flights from 1 to 2/3 weekly BA7317 MAN 0650 AGP 1050 Sat BA7317 MAN 1400 AGP 1800 Sun BA7315 MAN 1500 AGP 1900 Sat BA7318 AGP 1135 MAN 1340 Sat BA7316 AGP 1945 MAN 2150 Sat The BA7317 on Sun is a one way flight to allow the aircraft to return into the London City rotations.
