Jet2 adds Vienna Starting November 16th, Jet2 will add a 3 weekly Vienna flight. Jet2 has run this as a short series flight in the past: LS959 MAN 1400 VIE 1730 Mon/Fri LS959 MAN 1510 VIE 1840 Wed LS960 VIE 1805 MAN 1935 Fri LS960 VIE 1815 MAN 1945 Mon LS960 VIE 1925 MAN 2055 Wed B737-800 and B757-200 used. Austrian Airlines And Easyjet currently serve this route pair year round.

Air Malta increases flights Starting May 4th 2020, Air Malta will double its Manchester operation with the addition of a Friday flight KM146 MLA 0720 MAN 0955 Tue KM146 MLA 1640 MAN 1915 Fri KM147 MAN 1045 MLA 1505 Tue KM147 MAN 2005 MLA 0025 Fri A320 used.  Ryanair, Jet2, EasyJet and TUI all serve this route pair. 

Jet2 open 10 new routes from Manchester. Starting from April 2020 onwards, Jet2 will operate 10 new routes for the summer 2020 season. Innsbruck 2 weekly Wed and Sat (continuation from W19) Kalamata 2 weekly Wed and Sun from May 25th 2020 Lisbon 2 weekly Thu and Sun from April 30th 2020 Mykonos 2 weekly Thu and Sun from May 18th 2020 Myteline 2 weekly Thu and Sat from May 4th 2020 Preveza 3 weekly Wed and 2 flights on Sundays from May 4th 2020 Santorini 2 weekly Thu and Sat from May 18th 2020 Skiathos 3 weekly Wed/Fri/Sun from May 27th 2020 Tivat 2 weekly Thu and Sun from May 18th 2020 Zadar 2 weekly Wed and Sun from 18th May 2020 There are also substantial increases on many existing routes, but as I don’t keep historic timetables, I am unable to determine the full list.

TUI adds 2 new routes Starting 1st November 2020, TUI are adding 2 new routes to their Manchester base, Varadero and Banjul. Varadero TOM161 MAN 1000 VRA 1440 TOM162 VRA 1655 MAN 0650 Flight will operate Sundays in November then Mondays from December. B787 used. Banjul TOM891 MAN 0900 BJL 1530 TOM892 BJL 1630 MAN 2250 Sunday’s, using B737-800 Varadero is currently unserved after the Thomas Cook collapse, Banjul is currently served by Enter Air on behalf of The Gambia Experience.

Juneyao Airlines adds Manchester flights. Starting 30th March 2020, Juneyao Airlines will begin a 3 weekly Shanghai Pu Dong to Manchester flight. It operates via Helsinki HO1607 PVG 0055 HEL 0600/0730 MAN 0830 HO1608 MAN 1000 HEL 1505/1635 PVG 0635 Operates Mon/Wed/Fri B787-9 used. This flight will be Manchester’s 3rd flight to China, the others being a daily Cathay Pacific to Hong Kong and 4 weekly Hainan Airlines flight to Beijing.

Virgin Atlantic to operate La Romana charters. During the winter 2019/202 season, Virgin Atlantic will operate 3 Manchester to La Romana charters for Fred Olsen Cruises: VS617 MAN 1000 LRM 1530 2nd Jan/30 Jan/27 Feb VS618 LRM 1815 MAN 0710 2nd Jan/30 Jan/27 Feb A330-200 used. These flights were previously due to be operated by Thomas Cook, however Virgin have now been chartered due to the demise of MT.

Flybe summer 2020 changes. Flybe has started to release its summer 2020 Schedule, and below is a brief summary of its Manchester changes. New route to Stuttgart: BE7131 MAN 0730 STR 1025 Daily BE7132 STR 1100 MAN 1205 Daily Begins 28th March 2020.route is currently unserved by any other carrier. Luxembourg increases from 4 weekly to daily Dusseldorf is reduced from 4 daily to 3 daily La Rochelle, Milan Malpensa, Nantes, Rennes and Toulouse appears to be permanently suspended.  Further changes are highly likely in the next few weeks.
